Maker's Mark founder Bill Samuels, Sr., loved to experiment and would occasionally bottle bourbon at 101 Proof from a handful of the distillery's barrels. Because he particularly enjoyed how this higher proof hit his palate, he felt it was worth sharing. So, on special occasions, his closest friends would be treated to this unique expression of Maker's Mark. The distillery's classic recipe at this special proof offers rich notes of fruit, baking spices, and caramel that make each sip an invitation to the next.
