Rolling Fork El Salvador Small Batch Rum
For the inaugural release of their award-winning Kentucky Cask Series, Rolling Fork Spirits founders blended a small batch of at least 10-year-old rum from El Salvador. To reinforce the subtle sweetness of the aged rum, the founders selected several American Oak Kentucky Bourbon Barrels and rye whiskey barrels to add sweet notes of vanilla, caramel, floral and citrus. To balance these sweet flavors, some of the rum was aged in French Oak port casks and sherry casks. The casks add strong baking spice, hazelnut, and dark fruit notes.
After two Kentucky summers in a bourbon warehouse, the founders blended the casks to achieve a well-balanced rum. This inaugural batch highlights the hand selected barrels, and the unique aging characteristics only available in Kentucky.
Total age in barrels is 13 years, and this release is bottled at cask strength. This one-of-a-kind rum highlights the flavors rum can achieve with the right maturation and barrel selection.

As independent bottlers, Rolling Fork delivers adventure to spirits enthusiasts through the history, complexity, and variety of the finest rums. Turner Wathen and Jordan Morris founded Rolling Fork Spirits in 2017 in honor of Kentucky's famed Rolling Fork Distillery, established 1788. To honor this distilling legacy, they import the finest rums (without additives) made around the globe and match them with hand-selected whiskey casks for secondary maturation. Through blending and finishing, they craft rums that adhere to their motto: no finer spirits can be made.
