Old Commonwealth Red Top Rye 7yr

Old Commonwealth Red Top Rye 7yr

___

Made with a 100% rye mash bill and bottled at 105 proof, this full-bodied rye showcases a rich and fruit-forward character. Rooted in the historic Lawrenceburg distillery, Red Top Rye marks an exciting new chapter for Old Commonwealth.

NOSE
Dried fruit notes—raisin and fig—lead, followed by dried flowers, and a hint of fresh rose petal. The nose rounds out with barrel spice, cinnamon, cardamom, and white pepper. There’s a savory note of fresh baked rye bread with a pat of whipped honey butter upon deep whiffs.

PALATE
Even parts dried flowers, clove, and ginger lead, followed by fresh rose petals, white pepper, steeped pear, and a little barrel spice at the end. It’s lighter liquid but coats your mouth decently.

FINISH
Fig and milk chocolate lead the decently long finish.
