New Riff Sherry Finish Malted Rye Whiskey

Bottled at barrel proof without chill filtration. Finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks. Aged at least 6 years.

NOSE
Slow development of dark fruits, buttery sherry oak, walnut skin, lifted rye spice above it all with a touch of vanilla; splash of water yields multiple fruit tones.

PALATE
Full-bodied and broad; savory, surprisingly dry entry leads to sappy sherry backed with malty grain; well-integrated between sherry oak and grain character; although it’s wickedly friendly straight up, you can add water to emphasize sherry notes, or less water for more rye.

FINISH
Late burst of brightening spices (clove, slight menthol, wood spice) with multicolored (blue!) fruit skin.
