Hanzell Sebella Chardonnay 2018
Hanzell “Sebella” is crafted predominantly from the younger vines on the Hanzell estate along with fruit from select growers in the cooler regions of Sonoma County. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak barrels, Hanzell ‘Sebella’ captures classic minerality, bright fruit, and signature aroma of Chardonnay flowers in bloom. Enjoy today for its youthful exuberance or cellar for many years of further enjoyment.
Exquisite scents of jasmine and honeysuckle give a floral lift to the Pippin apple, guava, cake batter and wet stone aromas. Vivid Meyer lemon and chamomile complement and brighten the apple and guava flavors. Unexpected weight and richness across the palate given the generous acidity and buoyancy. Always a delight to drink!

The 2018 Chardonnay Sebella is a very pretty entry-level wine from Hanzell. Airy, gracious and lifted, the 2018 is all class. Orchard fruit, citrus feel, dried herbs and crushed flowers add character of this understated, polished and supremely delicious Sonoma Chardonnay. The bright, saline finish makes it hard to resist a second taste. Drinking window from 2020 - 2025. |
