Foursquare Probitas Green Label Dark Rum

Probitas is the first joint venture between Caribbean distilleries to produce multi-island blended rums. Green Label expands upon that precedent setting collaboration.

A blend of molasses and sugar cane juice rums, coming from the Double-Retort Pot Stills of both Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados and Hampden Estate in Jamaica - together with rums from the Coffey Column of Foursquare. Following a centuries old practice, believed to be of West African origin, the rum is darkened by the addition of caramel color made from the heating of sugar at the Foursquare Distillery. Note, no sweetness is added by this process.

Distilled, matured, blended and bottled in the Caribbean. No sugar, nor neutral/multi-column spirit added.

AROMA
Rich figs, fresh caramel, brown butter and vanilla, layered with hints of pineapple, orange peel, coconut and an overripe banana and subtle grassy note.

PALATE
Bold and complex, but surprisingly easy considering its proof. Notes of brown sugar and caramelized pineapple with layered tannins, giving way to a bright and almost citrus-forward finish.
