Domaine Eden Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
While the Estate is a singular voice, the Domaine is a chorus. Complex, given the five varieties in the cepage, this Cabernet has aromas of briary currant, sage, mint, and sweet oak. Less tannins and acidity on the palate than is evident in the Estate, there is an earlier window of enjoyable drinking.
"The Santa Cruz Mountains has as long and highly regarded history of producing top Cabernet Sauvignons. The 2016 Domaine Eden is beautiful and refined. This wine is polished and smooth. Its bright aromas of red currants and mineral should pair it well with a nicely-marbled grilled ribeye." -92pts, Wilfred Wong

|Powerful and complex, uncommonly distinctive and layered, with savory dark berry, cedar, graphite, road tar and cigar box nuances. Best from 2021 through 2032.|

|Once again, this more affordable younger brother to the Mount Eden bottling competes with gusto. Including 14% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, it shows savory black plum, black pepper, char, leather and dried herb aromas on the nose. The palate is hearty and almost salty tasting, with beef, charred black fruit, pine resin and caramel flavors. Very satisfying and full of umami characteristics. Editors Choice|
