Chateau De La Cour D'Argent 2020
On the nose it is quite aromatic and offers certain gourmandize. It reveals the notes of bright blackberry, vanilla and more slightly fleshy strawberry associated with violet and fine hint of sweet spices and hazelnut. On the mouth is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, good definition, a certain gourmandize, a fine tension as well as precision and roundness. The wine express the notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright raspberry and more lightly bourbon vanilla combined with hints of bright cherry as well as hints of toast, toasted hazelnut, fine hints of tonka beans and a discreet hint of toasted almond. Good length. The tannins are well conducted.
Grape Composition: 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and Cabernet-Sauvignon
Fermentation in thermostatically controlled 200Hl stainless steel vats, long (30 days) vat fermentation, délestage (the juice is removed and poured back over the cap) and pigeage (the cap is forced into the juice). Aging 14 months in barrels which were only used once before. The vines have an average age of 35 years.
