Chateau Brisson 2020

Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 Brisson skips out of the glass with exuberant notes of crushed red and black plums, boysenberries and Morello cherries, plus hints of sassafras, eucalyptus and licorice. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers lovely harmony and fruit freshness, featuring soft tannins and a spicy kick on the finish. |

A firm, racy red with blackberry, black olive and some smoky oak. It’s medium-bodied. A little austere and slightly hollow, but still attractive. |

Checking in as 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Château Haut-Brisson brings some serious fruit, offering a monster nose of chocolate-covered blueberries, iron, tobacco, and candied violet aromas and flavors. Rich and full-bodied, it has ripe tannins and outstanding length. It pushes on the ripeness scale, yet I've no doubt it's going to show more freshness and elegance from bottle. |
