Although many of Castle & Key's spirits are guided by tradition, the distillery enjoys letting their minds wander. The Experimental Series consists of intentional small batches, always bottled at cask strength. This series offers the chance to test the boundaries, with unique barrel finishes, blends and mashbills. These bottlings are rare by design, so share with purpose.

Mashbill: 63% Rye, 17% Corn, 20% Malted Barley

Aged 18 months in cask finish barrels

The aroma reveals rich layers of brûléed banana, cream cheese frosting, dried pineapple, and Demerara sugar, accentuated by cinnamon and subtle smoky undertones. On the palate, this complex offering unfolds with flavors of fruitcake, blackstrap molasses, plum, hibiscus, rum-soaked raisins, black cardamom, and clove, culminating in a lingering finish of anise, cigar wrapper, and deep dark sugar notes.
