BloodRoot Coastal California Pinot Noir 2024

BloodRoot Coastal California Pinot Noir 2024

__

Utilizing different fruit sources mostly throughout Sonoma County (but also neighboring counties of Marin and Mendocino), the BloodRoot winemakers created a Pinot Noir blend that effortlessly melds cool, coastal Pinot elegance with the velvety polish of culty high-end Pinot producers. This is a quality California Pinot for the money that's surprisingly complex. A savory black cherry fruit core with lightly peppery tannin.

The Bloodroot Pinot Noir is a secret collaboration between several wine product makers with great vineyard sourcing who have come together here to make a masterful, value-minded blend. The majority of the grapes come from Russian River Valley, with others from Sonoma Coast, Marin, Anderson Valley and Bennett Valley.

These wines are always cool climate expressions of low intervention wines at their best. Bright, with aromas of denser, darker fruits on the nose: strawberry, raspberry, savory herbs and minimal oak allow the true nature of the site and the region to shine through. The aromatics are generous, the flavors on the palate are structured yet full, lifted cranberry, pomegranate, orange zest with a creaminess mid palate and a juicy dry finish.

The 2024 Pinot Noir Coastal California is a bright medium ruby hue and serves as a declassified Reeve bottling. Wild raspberries, rosy perfume, citrus accents, and refreshing structure make this an absolute steal in the lineup. Delightful and easy to drink now. Drink over the next 5-6 years.
