Martinelli Giuseppe & Luisa Zinfandel 2023
The Giuseppe & Luisa Zinfandel is produced from vines that were grafted from the budwood of the centurion vines on Jackass Hill and planted on a rocky knoll above the Martinelli Winery. The brightly colored label is the original label that Giuseppe used when he started the first Martinelli winery on Martinelli Road in the 1880s.
Martinelli Giuseppe & Luisa Zinfandel opens with inviting aromas of ripe black cherry and Santa Rosa plum, layered with subtle warming spices. The wine delivers a lively, bright entry that flows into a well-balanced mid-palate, where vibrant cherry tart and succulent plum notes command attention. Its harmonious structure carries through to a mouthwatering finish, graced by delicate hints of milk chocolate. A sophisticated expression that balances fruit-forward character with refined complexity.

| A saturated ruby red color, the 2023 Zinfandel Giuseppe & Luisa is savory and has an intriguing nose with notes of cedar, red berries, and baked earth. The acidity is incredible on this wine, which has a salty feel and bright, shining fruit. This is a great value. |
