Baron Philippe de Rothschild Escudo Rojo Gran Reserva Chardonnay 2022

Pale yellow with glittering green highlights. The very intense, fruit-forward nose reveals aromas of citrus fruit mingled with pear compote, rose petal and lemon verbena, accompanied by notes of lightly toasted nuts and hints of marzipan from time spent in oak. A solid attack leads into a mineral palate that is complex, substantial and succulent, with refreshingly crisp acidity. Citrus flavors return on the long and lingering finish.
