North Shore Distillery Aquavit Private Reserve
Aquavit Private Reserve is spicy, savory and complex, with rich caraway, cumin and coriander notes. As a result of the aging process, it also has hints of caramel and a rounded, rich finish. Aquavit is most common in Scandinavia, with hundreds of versions produced in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. To be called Aquavit, the U.S. requires that the dominant flavor of the spirit is caraway seed. A range of other herbs and spices are used to accent the spirits flavor, such as cumin, coriander, and cinnamon. This spirit is aged in new American oak as well, which melds and softens the rich, spicy flavors. Unlike other aquavits, caramel coloring is not added. All of the flavor and color is natural.
