Kanosuke Distillery's inaugural 2022 Limited Edition represents a landmark release from Kagoshima, Japan. This cask-strength single malt was meticulously crafted from the distillery's first production run—a thoughtful marriage of 100 ex-shochu barrels, 50 ex-bourbon casks, and 30 Oloroso sherry casks aged for over three years.

The sherry influence anchors the profile, weaving together the character of its diverse cooperage. Expect aromatic notes of cinnamon and plum, followed by a complex palate layering coffee, vanilla, and spicy oak into a finish of black tea and honey. Bottled uncolored and unchill-filtered at cask strength, this non-age-statement whisky captures the essence of a promising new producer. Limited to 3,000 bottles for the US market.
