Caffo Liquorice Liqueur is the world’s first 100% Calabrian licorice liqueur. Produced at Caffo Liquirizia in Vibo Valentia, Italy, the traditional Calabrian method of licorice root extraction by means of hot water is used without chemicals or solvents and no added sugars, coloring, or flavorings.
The result is one of the most exciting and unexpected expressions of licorice available, with a depth and complexity akin to an amaro. The nose displays rich aromas of vanilla, cacao, toasted brioche, and nutmeg with a molasses-esque acidity.
