Dow's 10yr Tawny Port

Dow's 10yr Tawny Port

Ships in 3-5 business days.
Aged for ten years in Dow's Boa Vista Lodge, this 10 Year Old Tawny retains the bright fruit flavors of a young wine combined with an intense complexity from ageing in well-seasoned oak.

This Port’s color has a deep russet center with a distinctive garnet edge and a hint of amber and bright aromas of red cherry and almonds with toffee and vanilla notes balance the nose. On the palate this wine is mouth-filling, with peppery spice and a touch of marmalade. The finish is full, with Dow’s trademark dry edge.

Dow’s 10 Year Old Tawny is a perfect match to sweet desserts, such as apple pie or chocolate mousse. Serve slightly chilled. It will last for up to one month once open.
Wine Spectator: 92
Solid, with hazelnut, fig, plum cake and dried cherry notes in lockstep from start to finish. A streak of hazelnut husk tilts to the drier side of the tawny spectrum, resulting in mouthwatering cut on the finish.
Wine Advocate: 92
This is an interesting take on a 10-year-old tawny where it comes across more like a classic Late Bottled Vintage. Full-bodied, medium dry and tannic. Dried berries and a light caramel undertone.
Wine Enthusiast: 90
This is a rich, nutty wine, satisfyingly ripe, poised between sweet and dry. Its touch of spirit adds to the sweetness of the wine and balances with the acidity from wood aging. The wine is ready to drink.
