Tonel 46 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2016

Ships in 3-5 business days.
Fermented in cement vats at the Los Toneles winery in central Mendoza, Argentina and matured in well-seasoned, neutral oak barrels for about one year before being bottled.

Intense, bright garnet red.

Marked mentholated notes and red peppers, all perfectly amalgamated with notes of tobacco and chocolate from its maturation in barrels.

Fresh wine. Great structure, but with friendly tannins. Long.

Ideal to pair with roasted meats, empanadas and stews.

There is a little more ripeness on the nose of the 2016 Tonel 46 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is produced with fruit from Valle de Uco. It also comes through as medium-bodied with some grainy tannins and high acidity, which seems to be the signature here, at least in the wines from 2016. One for food.

Creme de cassis, herbal liqueur, brambleberries and some underbrush. Full body, lots of tangy fruit, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.
