Hampden Estate was founded in 1753 and has been distilling rum for almost three centuries in the Trelawny Parish, historically known as the grand cru of Jamaican rum. Renowned throughout the world for its full, intensely flavorful rums, Hampden Estate has always produced quintessential, heavy pot still pure single rums, using unique methods that guarantee its remarkable aromas and truly exceptional taste.

A blend of various marks, this new version of Great House produced according to a recipe that changes from year to year shows this rum in a very different light. This particularly expressive 2022 edition sets the tone right from the start for a tasting that explores a huge diversity of fruity registers, right to the empty glass. Medicinal notes guide its flavor and aroma palate to a decidedly empyreumatic profile.

Lively and smooth. Candied lemon, ripe banana, lychee, kiwi and Williams pear.

PALATE
Taut and nervous. Pear, coconut, agave, pepper, sugar cane, rhubarb and vanilla.

FINISH
Long and smooth. Tobacco, gentian root, salted butter caramel, raspberry and cherry.
