Robert Craig Cellars Howell Mountain Cuvee 2019
This wine has a higher proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon than usual, making it dark, complex, and soft. Deriving from young vines at the Candlestick Ridge Vineyard, the 2019 HMC exudes Howell Mountain strength with floral, brambly-fruit and rock notes up front. Compared to the 2018 release, this wine is more austere, with a longevity in the cellar; yet it is also enjoyable upon delivery.
