Bikoku 8yr Japanese Malt Whisky
Located in Nirasaki City in Yamanashi Prefecture, near the foothills of Mount Fuji, Bikoku distillery benefits from a pristine natural environment ideal for whisky production. It is one of only three distilleries in Japan that draws water directly from an underground aquifer fed by Mt. Fuji’s snowmelt, producing naturally filtered, low-pH water that contributes to an exceptionally smooth whisky. A master blender hand-selects premium barley from across Japan before the spirit is distilled in-house and aged for a minimum of four years in American-made bourbon barrels.
A pure malt whisky aged 8 years with a medium body and good balance. Smoky and very smooth. Very flavorful, mild spice, and fruity with a hint of toffee and oak. The nose enjoys sweet fruit and smoke. It is unique and delicious. The finish is long, warm, and spicy. Enjoy neat or with sparkling water.
