Clay Shannon Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
This stunning Cabernet Sauvignon is a tale of two appellations within Lake County. Crafted with grapes grown in the High Valley and Red Hills appellations, it’s a seamless representation of the best of both worlds.
Together, these vineyards produce a wine with rich cassis aromas marked by notes of lavender and vanilla, that lead to raspberry and cherry flavors elevated with a long tobacco and redcurrant finish.
This is a complex, classic Cabernet Sauvignon. Cassis, blackberry, leather and chaparral combine aromatically with flavors of toasted oak, boysenberry pie and vanilla. Mid-palate weight and complexity while maintaining elegance and texture.
Bright fruit, spice, texture, and all of the tannin is a hallmark of the high elevation vineyards of Lake County. The dark fruits, old world characters and dried herbs come from the lower elevations of north Napa County.
