Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé

Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé

__

This non-vintage Rose is the end result of a desire to create a Rosé champagne with a delightfully luscious, fruit-based charm. The wine has a luminous color with attractive pink glints. The nose is generous and elegant, with initial aromas of fresh red fruit (raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry, blackberry), leading to biscuity notes of dried fruits and Viennese pastries (almonds, apricots and brioche).

The fresh attack is followed by a fruity harmonious sensation on the palate. The wine is perfectly balanced in the best Veuve Clicquot style of pink champagnes, combining elegance and flair. The wine works its magic—this delectably full champagne can be enjoyed as a true delicacy. A deliciously fruity wine in earlybloom, this is a wonderful aperitif to be shared.

Minerally on the nose and lacy in texture on the palate, this layers tangy mandarin orange peel acidity with rich hints of toasted brioche and vanilla as well as flavors of wild strawberry, candied ginger and pastry cream. Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Drink now.
Decanter: 92
Light nose on the entry, then cherry blossom, smoked stone, lemon curd and salted cherry. Focussed and serious, great presence and length. Blend : 52% Pinot Noir, 18% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay.

A deep-colored rosé, as pink as its label, this Champagne is full of youthful fruit. It has a soft intensity of red fruits and ripe acidity in a full flavor.
James Suckling: 91
Grapefruit color with aromas of cherries, strawberries, almonds, pastries and honey. Creamy and rounded, with a medium body and soft bubbles. All nicely integrated. Blend of majority pinot noir with chardonnay and meunier, with 12% red wine. 10g/L. Drink now.

From its marked minerally streak to its soupçon of woodsy spice, this flamingo-hued beauty primarily Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and Meunier is seriously sensuous. Sanguine, saturated notes of cherry, pomegranate, and biscuit merge with savory blood orange and pink grapefruit on the palate, whose suede texture hardly negates the depth and structure derived in part from the addition of about 12% red wine.
