A Wine proudly asserting its roots. Enthralling nose, on Provence herbs and scrubland. The mouth is dense, pulpy, juicy. The archetype of the fine Mediterranean Wine!

A racy red, with baked plum, sappy cassis and wet earth and vanilla-tinged incense notes that slowly emerge. The round palate is nicely offset by a savory vein of crushed iron and smoke, with grippy tannins firming up the structured, densely packed yet elegant finish. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2028. 550 cases made, 175 cases imported.

Camphor, menthol and plum. This is concentrated, but nicely compact and has intensity and tension. It's also seriously tannic, though the tannins are ripe. A powerful, muscular and potent Gigondas. Drinkable young with a côte de boeuf, but could provide some complexity and intrigue with age.

This old-vine Gigondas tantalizes the nose with heady aromas of red cherries and rosehip, which are elegantly framed by a touch of clove. The palate is rich and wound with plenty of energy in the midpalate that presents concentrated red cherries, strawberries, cassis, violets and green peppercorn. Generous and textured with persistent tannins that should integrate seamlessly after cellaring well through 2030+.

A showstopper, the 2020 Gigondas Vieilles Vignes plays with the top wines in the vintage, offering a brilliant array of red and blue fruits, flowers, incense, and chalky minerality. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced, with fine tannins and a great, great finish, it's going to evolve gracefully for 10-15 years. If you see a bottle, don't miss it!
