Rough Rider Happy Warrior Cask Strength Bourbon
Aged in 55-gallon new American oak for a minimum of 4 years before being blended with older bourbon and finally finished in Merlot and Chardonnay casks for 3 to 6 months. The barrels are washed with an aged brandy distilled by Long Island Spirits from grapes grown at the wineries.
In 1898, Teddy Roosevelt, a native Long Islander, organized the United States First Volunteer Calvary known as the Rough Riders. These men cherished adventure, independence and excellence. At Long Island's first craft distillery, they follow the same beliefs.
