Jefferson's Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finish
To make Jefferson’s Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Finish, the distillery starts with their Jefferson’s Reserve Kentucky straight bourbon and extra ages it for 12 months in French Oak casks that once held Pritchard Hill® Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine barrels that matured the most sought-after wine in the Chappellet® portfolio lend a sweetness to the bourbon by adding notes of dark berry, espresso and chocolate. Jefferson's master distiller Trey Zoeller got together with Cyril Chappellet of the Chappellet Estate Winery using their Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks to age this bourbon.
The classic rich, unctuous caramel notes that you love about Jefferson's are here, this time they are accented by dark red fruits, blackberries, anise and a hint of chocolate.

Founded in 1997, Jefferson's is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian. They were continuing a family tradition that goes back to Trey's 8th generation grandmother who was arrested in 1799 for the "production and sales of spirituous liquors." To personify the brand, they chose Thomas Jefferson-known for his curiosity and experimental spirit. This is a mindset to which Trey has dedicated himself, pushing the boundaries of the definition of bourbon. Upholding tradition, yet always discovering new possibilities.
