Immediately the longest-aged Irish whiskey available everyday, Bushmills 30 Year Old has been aged in hand-selected bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry casks, and PX sherry casks, creating a powerful and uniquely complex flavor profile, a richness that can only be achieved by 30 years in barrel. Just 775 bottles of this exquisite single malt have been created, making this 30 Year Old single malt an extremely rare and elegant treasure.

Triple-distilled from 100% malted barley, the inaugural release of the Bushmills 30 Year Old was first aged in hand-selected bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry butts for 14 years along the cold north coast of Ireland. The whiskey was then married and further aged in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for 14 years, casks that were seasoned for 2 years in Jerez's precious fortified wine.

This aged spirit shows Irish whiskey's dark side. It retains the enticing fresh-fruit aroma of younger bottlings, plus a luscious layer of butterscotch. On the palate, it's oaky and drying, with complex notes of toffee, dark chocolate, toasted nuts, caramel and a spicy finish. The whiskey is aged for a minimum of 19 years in former oloroso Sherry and Bourbon barrels, then transferred to Madeira casks for the final two years of maturation. Treat it like Scotch: add just a splash of water to open up the flavors.
