Black Girl Magic Riesling
Intensely aromatic, this wine shows typical ripe Riesling characteristics, including honey, apricot, and white flowers. Tangerine, jasmine, and coriander seed appear in the nose, as the palate turns to tropical flavors evocative of guava and pineapple. Mild sweetness is balanced by a bright core of tangy citrus for a mouth-watering, sweet and sour finish.
Half sisters, the McBrides were raised a world apart, in New Zealand and California. As children, neither was even aware the other existed. After meeting in 1999 and finding a shared love for wine, they began importing New Zealand wines into the U.S. In 2010, they created their own label. McBride Sisters, which includes the She Can and Black Girl Magic brands, is today the largest Black-Owned wine company in the United States.
