Domaine Serene Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir 2019

__
A brilliant ruby red color, the 2019 Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir expresses aromas of dark dried cherries, pink peppercorn, and saddle leather on the nose. On the palate, layers of composed tannins and savory characters of cherrywood, ground sage and dried shiitake mushrooms reveal themselves, leading to an acidic finish that lingers with soft and silky tannins. This Pinot Noir is beautiful on release and will age gracefully in the cellar for years to come.

A graceful, compelling red, offering an array of raspberry, strawberry, rose petal and toasty spice flavors that fan out on the lingering, supple finish.

Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Evenstad Reserve has pure, layered aromas of cranberry, pomegranate and raspberry with accents of tobacco leaves, graphite, mushroom and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate is harmoniously structured and seamless with delicate, perfumed fruit and a very long, spicy finish. This strikes a fine balance between a fruity, savory and earthy character.
Wine Enthusiast: 94
A “Goldilocks wine” where everything, down to the restrained alcohol, is just right. Blackcap raspberries, dried rose petals, beeswax and a touch of Madagascar vanilla draw the nose deeper into the glass. Bright red cherry and tangerine flavors create a juicy and pleasurable sweet-tart flavor combination.
James Suckling: 94
A firm and linear wine with some herbal and bark character. Blue fruit and dried strawberry. Floral. Full and tight with firmness and intensity. Give it three to four years to come around.

The ruby-hued 2019 Pinot Noir Evenstad Reserve takes on ripe, classic layers of cherry liqueur, pine, pressed flowers, and mossy soil. Pure, ripe, and well-structured, it brings forward ripe fruit in a medium to full-bodied frame, with ripe, youthful tannins, balanced acidity, and a clean finish with savory notes of turned earth.
