Kim Crawford Pinot Gris 2013

Kim Crawford Pinot Gris 2013

Ships in 3-5 business days.
With Pinot Gris we ripen with a mixture of exposed fruit (50 per cent) and shaded fruit (50 per cent). The exposed fruit adds weight and mouthfeel and the shaded fruit adds intense aromatics. Portions of the fruit were hand harvested and the balance harvested by machine.

A small portion of the wine was barrel fermented for four months and the wine went through partial malolactic fermentation.

Colour: Pale straw with hints of green.
Aroma: Apple and Nashi pear with lifted nutty, butterscotch malo notes.
Palate: Full and rich on the palate. Fresh and well balanced with the partial malolactic fermentation adding complexity.
Cellar: Two years with confidence
Food match: A full bodied Pinot Gris, ideal to have all by itself or with delicate fish dishes.
Wine Spectator: 88
