Dettling Small Batch Bourbon
Alabama's first grain-to-glass bourbon, Dettling is made from locally grown corn plus five other grains (such as rye and oats), all of which are distilled at young Escambia Spirits in Atmore, Alabama.
The bourbon is aged on average for about 3 1/2 years, then bottled at 80 proof. The resulting whiskey shows lots of vanilla and cedar on the nose. Flavors of soft tobacco, corn and sweet caramel in the mouth.
