Macallan Rare Cask - 2023 Release

A rare and special discovery, this single malt is created from rare casks of The Macallan to have an entirely natural deep ruby mahogany color, an intense sweet raisin flavor and a rich velvety mouthfeel.

Every cask of exceptional single malt whisky maturing at The Macallan Estate has its own personality, with little nuances which make them unique.

From time to time their whisky makers come across casks maturing in warehouses which stand out from the others in a very particular way. These hand-selected casks are a rare and special discovery.

Rare Cask is created from oak casks which exhibit incredibly rich, smooth complexity, highlighted through a sweet raisin note. These rare casks of The Macallan have an entirely natural deep ruby mahogany color, and an intense and highly complex flavor profile.

NOSE
Soft notes of vanilla with rich raisin, followed by a sweet fusion of fresh apple, lemon and orange.

PALATE
An intense sweet raisin dominates before giving way to vanilla and dark chocolate, with layers of light citrus zest.

FINISH
Long, rich and velvety.
