Domaine Rene Leclerc Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur 2015
100% Pinot Noir. Subject to a pre-fermentation cold soak maceration, before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Only natural yeasts are used. The wine remains in vat for six months before being aged for 1 year in typically 20/25% new French oak. A great value introduction to the wines of Gevrey-Chambertin.
Cherries both fresh and baked as well as some mineral notes of earth and button mushrooms. Silky tannins and a long finish.
