Chateau Beauregard Pomerol 2000
The 2000 vintage in Bordeaux is well-regarded for its early ripening and concentrated grapes. A hot and rainy spring gave way to a cooler summer, followed by a hot and dry August. Ripening took place quickly and evenly across the harvest, making fruit with deep color and high levels of sugar.
Chateau Beauregard's wine, a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, displays a deep color with light purple highlights. Intense aromas of jammy fruit, blackberries, and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is dense and powerful, yet structured and balanced. Too young to drink at the time of its initial release, the wine has come into its own, and should be ready to go right from the bottle.

|This up and coming Pomerol estate has fashioned a potentially outstanding 2000 revealing the vintage's wonderful sweetness as well as a dense purple color, an opulent texture, a layered, concentrated mid-palate, and moderate tannin in the impressively deep, structured finish. It will require a few years of bottle age.|
