Chateau La Tour Blanche's history began in the 18th century when Jean Saint-Marc du Latourblanche owned the land. They were other others but the next important owner was Frederic Frocke. He was a German and he attempts to take credit for developing sweet wines in the Sauternes and Barsac area basing off of the German Sweet wines. Although it was quite a stretch of the truth. The next prominent owner was Daniel Osiris Iffla. Although nothing significant happened during his lifetime, He bequeathed the Chateau and all the vineyards to the French Government under the condition that they create a Bordeaux Wine School on the property. This was done in 1909. Ever Since, the words "Donation Osiris" have been on the label.

Chateau La Tour Blanche is planted to 83% Semillon, 12% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle.

Wine Spectator: 95
Lively, with a mix of almond, ginger, peach and apricot notes that have good energy throughout, backed by a honeyed edge on the finish. Nice effort for the vintage.
Wine Advocate: 96
The 2016 La Tour Blanche has a typically rich bouquet with clear honey, orange blossom and a touch of dried mango. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, fine tension, great detail on the finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a superb La Tour Blanche with style and elegance.
Wine Enthusiast: 96
Structured and concentrated, this is a rich wine that is also fruity and packed with botrytis and acidity. Its texture and tangy edge are impressive and will certainly allow it to age.
James Suckling: 93
A slew of dried mangoes and candied citrus, a full, succulent body and a long, clean finish, give this Sauternes plenty of appeal. Drink or hold.
