Camp Nelson is a maturation campus owned/operated by Wild Turkey. It’s separate from their main distillery campus (Tyrone), and lies about a 45-minute drive away. The rickhouses at Camp Nelson are older wood/clad (tin-clad) structures, originally built for earlier distilleries before acquisition — not originally by Wild Turkey. These older warehouses tend to create a slower, steadier interaction between spirit and wood, resulting in a matured, subtly complex bourbon rather than a bomb of sweetness or barrel-strength beast.

Expect a mix of sweet, spicy and wood-driven notes: vanilla, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, oak, baking spices and dark fruit (cherry/date/raisin)

TASTE
Creamy vanilla, mid-level oakiness with slight char, hint of leather and tobacco, rye-style spice, dark cherry, syrupy oak

FINISH
Medium-long finish with lingering oak and wood tannins, vanilla, caramel, baking spice and pepper, with a hint of tobacco and leather
