Altos las Hormigas Uco Valley Terroir Malbec 2018
A fresh Uco Valley Malbec from the altitude of the Andes mountains. It shows an aromatic herb perfume along with impressive violet aromas. This is a juicy and intense wine, with notes of youthful plum and blueberry fruit. It has a great grip on the palate, with layered tannins and a balanced, long finish.

The 2018 Malbec Terroir Valle de Uco has great brightness of fruit and much more freshness than the one from Luján that I tasted next to it. It's expressive, aromatic and more elegant, with refined tannins and a silkier mouthfeel. There is a special brightness here.

The 2018 Malbec Terroir comes from La Consulta and Tupungato, Uco Valley and was 25% aged in foudres. Purple in color. The reductive nose delivers herbs and violets with tightly packed but clear blackberry and plum aromas. In the mouth, things are a little different. Juicy and flavorful, the expansive flow brings grip and chalky tannins with a degree of linearity that stretches out the finish. A Malbec for modern palates. Drinking window: 2021 - 2033.

Ripe-plum, cherry, vanilla and lemon-zest aromas. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and a succulent, fresh finish.
